Yes! Participants are welcome to be Project Leads, and to build a team around their project on the opening night of the jam (Friday).
Participants are allowed to bring partially-built platforms or projects to the jam that are designed to be open to collaboration/input.
A project of any media/mixed media is eligible for the exhibition, so long as it:
We are suggesting team sizes of 3-8, on average. Teams should include representation from both art and tech communities. We strongly encourage formation of teams with participants from a range of backgrounds and practices. If you are having trouble filling out a gap on your team, find a mentor -- they would be happy to help.
Yes! Project leads are welcome to pre-select their team members -- ideally leaving room for at least one or two free agents at the jam.
Day 1 of the jam is designed as an open platform to facilitate spontaneous partnerships. We will have a strong representation of “free agents” who will be looking to connect with new people.
Team structure is * fluid * throughout the course of the jam. If at any point, you would like to leave your current team and join another, you are welcome to do so.
Being as specific as possible about your tech and equipment needs on your application and registration forms will help us ensure we are amply supplied. That said: space and resources are limited -- we ask that participants * share * as much as possible, and find solutions that work with the resources available to them. Flexibility, resourcefulness, and fluidity are key to a successful jam. :)
